Patient Referrals
At Bite Dentistry we pride ourselves on collaboration with referring colleagues. We understand that the patient has built up a relationship with their referring general dental practitioner and we want to ensure any decisions which are made are combined between practitioner, patient and referring clinician.
Please complete our online ‘Patient Referral Form’ to provide any information on your referred case and upload any clinical records you feel would benefit us in our assessment.

What to expect when collaborating with us…
Your patient will be contacted and booked at our next available appointment space.
We will contact the patient on 3 separate occasions through the means of contact provided. If we are unsuccessful in reaching the patient we will get back in touch with your referring practice to gain further means of contact with the patient.
The patient will receive an initial 30min appointment (cost of new patient appointment £65).
During this appointment it will be decided if further investigations such as dental radiographs, clinical photographs or intra-oral scans are required and either taken at this first appointment or the patient will be invited back for further diagnostic information to be gathered.
A letter will be provided back to the referring practitioner with the following information:
- Patients primary concerns and aims for treatment
- Clinical assessment and diagnosis of the presenting patient
- Recommendations for further assessment or diagnostic records
- Recommendation for proposed treatment options
- Full access to any clinical or diagnosis information upon request (we use DS Core online cloud for storage and sharing of patient information with referring practitioners)
- An invitation to collaborate on all, some or none of the proposed treatment options
During or on completion of the referred patient treatment a letter will be provided to the referring practitioner with the following information:
- A summary of the progress of the treatment and final outcome
- Any further recommendations for further dental treatment or continued monitoring requirements.
- A summary of the post-operative information provided to the patient for reference
- Full access to the clinical or diagnostic information taken during the course of the referred patient treatment (sent via email through DS Core)
